The first sweater front is coming along. These cables are different from the usual 6-stitch cables. The right hand cable is done with two stitches crossed to the back leaving 4 for the front, and the lefthand cable is crossed 4 stitches to the front, leaving two for the back. I am not sure I really like them as much as regular cables, but it is interesting to try something new.My sister, for whom I got a bulky knitting machine a while ago, is coming down for a visit this weekend. She needs a lesson on the machine, never having machine knitted before, and she says she finds the machine intimidating. I will cure her of that.
